For the Taipei youth, the most profound insight gained from participating in the “Taipei Youth Overseas Internship Program” was the cultural impact and awareness. Since 95% of the colleagues were Singaporean, the cultural diversity within the workplace was limited, yet relationships among team members were warm—they often socialized outside of work, going on trips or having meals together.
This experience allowed them to gain a deep understanding of the “Singaporean” work style and office culture, including the unique “Singlish” accent and everyday habits.
